“Adventure is out there!” Students in the 8th grade have been actively involved in learning about Sir Ernest Shackleton and his fated Antarctic expedition. To understand the daily rations of the crew, Ms. Chase made “hoosh” which was food of the explorers. “Hoosh” is made with blended hamburger, vegetables, oatmeal, brown rice, sugar, salt, and LARD. Much to our surprise, some actually enjoyed it!
